16.12.2009PLEASE WELCOME *BORIS DLUGOSCH* IN OUR MIDDLE

PLEASE WELCOME *BORIS DLUGOSCH* IN OUR MIDDLE

What are the basic fundamentals needed to truly understand music?

1.] You have to love music as a whole. The beats, the rhythm, the bass, the melodies, the structure, all of it.

2.] You have to invest a lot of time to completely grasp the differences between each culture and the various genres which have evolved out of it.

3.] You need to stay young and open-minded, because you might age but music itself will surely never grow a gray hair.

If these three vital aspects are genuinely embodied by one person, then the chances are pretty big that he will enjoy music for the rest of his entire life and probably make a damn good living of it.

Boris Dlugosch clearly exemplifies all of the above. This is undeniably the reason why after more than 20 crazy years, this first class producer and DJ is still relevant to everybody. Not just clubbers who lived through the house scene which emerged in the late 80`s [Boris was the German protagonist during this period], but also Indie-Tronic kids from the here and now…

13.10.2009Tocadisco - Toca 128.0 FM [Album] [Superstar]

TOCADISCO - TOCA 128.0 FM [ALBUM] [SUPERSTAR]

The Best Radio Station You’ll Ever Hear.

Breaking the mould is one thing that Roman Böer, aka. Tocadisco does best. Always looking for new ways and means to influence his ever-evolving sound. This new album is as good an example as you’ll ever get; pushing the boundaries of an artist long-player by creating his own self-styled radio show – “Toca 128.0FM”.

Throughout Roman’s 50 minute journey he takes you through dark tech-house, scorching electro sounds and well-groomed vocal masterpieces. All forged together into a flowing and well-crafted listen that will leave you begging for more.

The title track forms a sublime intro/interlude that reminds you of the magnitude of the artist behind this album – melding together classic hits into an epic beginning to this sonic journey. From there it’s straight into the first single from the album “Da Fuckin’ Noize” moving through to “Senator” and then onto the sultry vocals of JD Davis in “Breakdown”.

A standout track is that of “Dr. Moog” which rolls together an original interview with Dr. Robert Moog – the creator of the legendary Moog Synthesizer. The interview is laced over a deep rumbling bass line, taking the track to stratospheric proportions. A quirky number that goes down an absolute treat!

Half way through and you’re served with a serious dose of some tech-house firestarters and then what can only be deemed as jewel in 128.FM – Better Run, featuring the beautiful vocals of Nadia Ali, setting what surely is the calm before the storm. “Way Of Love” featuring Russian sensations ‘Vangosh’ provides the final vocal moment of the album before it is rounded off by a Latin-American theme for the last two tracks.

Overall Tocadisco has surpassed all expectations, throwing something different into the mix and reaping the benefits as a result. Upfront dance music at its finest! Make sure you tune in!

15.09.2009Sono - 'Plus' Album Tour

SONO - "PLUS" ALBUM TOUR

The new album goes by the name of „Plus“. It`s their fourth output to date and is basically a positive record through and through.

SONO once again changes lanes and presents a vividly refreshing

and somewhat surprising sound.

This is what the band has to say: “We were definitely influenced by various DJ-gigs over the last year, so the up and coming LP is far more club oriented.”

In fact, “Plus” is not just a bit more up-beat but also takes a large step towards an electronic future. This is just another layer revealed by this diversified trio.

The first single „Better“ immediately demonstrates the immaculate symbioses of the various elements. Partly structured like a classic song, partly extremely clubby, this song demands a tremendous live audience and also can`t wait to set the dance-floor on fire.

19.06.2009PLEASE WELCOME *DADA LIFE* IN OUR MIDDLE

PLEASE WELCOME *DADA LIFE* IN OUR MIDDLE

They don't care about genres. They don't care about smartness. They don't care about the things you care about. Dada Life just want to make you jump up and down. Then make you crash into a wall with a smile on your face.

The formula has been a winner since the start. In summer 2006 Dada Life released "Big Time" on Mylo's label Breastfed and DJ:s all over got their first take on the duo. Since then there has been a steady stream of hit records: "The Great Fashionista Swindle", "Vote Yes" and "Fun Fun Fun". Played by everyone from Crookers, Tiësto, Eric Prydz to David Guetta - and featured on tons of compilations. ["Fun Fun Fun" even made it to #11 in the commercial single chart in Belgium.] Dada Life have also remixed artists such as Laidback Luke, Maskinen, Alex Gopher and John Acquaviva.

Now get ready for the next step. Dada Life have just finished recording their debut album.

The first single - "Happy Hands & Happy Feet" - will feature remixes from Alex Gopher, Malente and other nice people. The album will be released spring 2009.

As DJ:s Dada Life always have a little extra in their record bag. They constantly produce their own remixes/edits ["Guerilla Farts"!!!] of good tunes in order to have something unique to play. [And when they get bored with the tunes, the mp3:s end up somewhere on the net...]

They have played clubs and festivals in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Australia and other places - both DJ- and live-sets.

And remember: destroy dance music and have fun. Don't look back in the past. Always go forward. Don't think too much. Always follow the money.

Do the Dada.
