Nicole Moudaber

Nigerian-born Nicole Moudaber developed a love for dark drums and fierce percussion at an early age. Growing up in Nigeria & Lebanon she was the first person to bring dance music to the Middle East back in 1996 before moving to London to run Southeast Recordings and the long 5 year running Soundworx night at Turnmills.

“I fell in love with house music in NY back in 1989, hearing Junior Vasquez and Danny Tenaglia” says Nicole. “Since then I’ve traveled the world chasing the best parties, from Paris to Madrid, Amsterdam, NY, LA, London, Ibiza and beyond.”

Stepping behind the decks and into the studio was a natural progression for one so dedicated to the cause, and success has swiftly followed.

Recently name-checked by Carl Cox as the Most Underrated DJ of 2009, Nicole regularly returns to Beirut and Jordan to play, as well has having strong fan bases in London, Paris and Ibiza. Says the man like Carl “I've been following her career for the last three years - her productions and DJing. She's amazing.” Well who are we to argue?

Selected by Cox & Digweed for a guest mix in 2008 & 2009, and hand picked by Carl for a slot next to him in Space in 2009, t he big boys have all got their ears pricked for what will come next.

Her releases have appeared on VIVa MUSIC, Plastic City, AreaRemote, Intacto, Yellow Tail and Cox's new digital label Intec Digital. She has remixed Gorge (8bit) and Adam Sheridan among others

Whilst distinctly dark and driving, her sets blend deep techno with groovier sexy rhythms perfect for main room dance floor action.
